Associate Director, Clinical Operations – Regional Head, Central Europe

About the role

Associate Director Clinical Operations is the leadership position for country/region Clinical Operations under Clinical Services division in Novotech.

The role manages day-to-day clinical operations from planning through implementation of strategic clinical goals, leads strategic initiatives with other functional management, and holds responsibility for operations performance including client deliverables, project revenues, resource management, staff development and training.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Clinical Operations Management team with oversight of day-to-day operations for a clinical function.
• Set and drive the team’s annual performance review, development goals and KPIs.
• Provide oversight and resourcing to projects to meet billable utilisation, realisation targets and role-specific metric targets.
• Ensure project delivery outcomes with high and first-time quality oversight.
• Represent and advocate for clinical operations needs and resources at upper-level management.
• Implement best practices and standards for trial management in collaboration with clinical operations and services colleagues.
• Ensure clinical trials comply with applicable regulatory requirements and are inspection ready.
• Identify and implement learning and development requirements for 1-2 layers of line reports and contribute to their delivery and training.
• Collaborate with HR & L&D to ensure training needs are met for all clinical operations staff.
• Maintain a safe and comfortable work environment for all clinical operations staff.

Requirements

• Graduate in a clinical, pharmacy or life sciences related field.
• Experience and knowledge of end-to-end management of clinical trial conduct and clinical trial operations.
• Excellent organisation skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• At least 10 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CRO industry.
• At least 3 years in a management role.
