About the role

Amazon opened in 1995 and presents itself as a customer-centric global e‑commerce company.

AMZL seeks a Senior AI Integration Engineer in the Logistics Innovation Engineering team to identify where advanced systems deliver highest value in Delivery Stations and to influence the last‑mile roadmap; the role requires advanced technology, AI, process engineering and analytical skills and cross‑team partnership to improve safety, productivity and the associate experience.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, assess and prioritize advanced technology use cases in AMZL Delivery Stations by analyzing process paths, ergonomic challenges and key operational gaps.
  • Own and define the AMZL integration roadmap, including a 3–5-year strategy aligned with the broader portfolio.
  • Evaluate technology providers and platforms through technical due diligence and benchmarking against operational requirements.
  • Author white papers and build business cases that quantify ROI, safety improvements and impacts on the associate experience.
  • Influence technical and business decisions using data from pilot results, simulation outputs and technology validation plans.
  • Partner with providers and internal Mechanical, Controls and Software teams to define integration requirements such as gripping, navigation, perception and task planning for Delivery Station environments.
  • Work with simulation and digital twin teams to model performance in target process paths prior to physical deployment.
  • Lead scalability assessments and define path‑to‑scale economics across company teams.

Requirements

  • Experienced, entrepreneurial mindset with combined advanced technology, AI, process engineering and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrable ability to identify and evaluate use cases for advanced technology within the AMZL roadmap and to partner across teams to deliver safety, productivity and associate‑experience improvements.
  • Experience performing technical due diligence on vendors and platforms, defining integration requirements for physical systems, and using simulation/digital twin models to inform deployments.
  • Experience authoring business cases, defining proof‑of‑concept and validation criteria with cross‑functional teams, and demonstrating benefits with data from pilots or simulations.

Desire to shape the future of advanced technology in AMZL is indicated as part of the role.

Skills

  • Knowledge of robotic subsystems and integration areas: gripping, navigation, perception and task planning.
  • Experience with simulation, digital twin modelling and data‑driven validation methods.
